What a listing looks like

Open a typical free listing — Boots in Consett, County Durham. Details come from the public GPhC register with the snapshot date shown, exactly as every free listing appears to patients, Google and AI assistants. Boots has not paid for this listing and is not a partner — it is simply a typical example of what every registered pharmacy gets free.

Why pharmacies list here

Patients trust this site because ratings cannot be bought — and a directory patients trust sends you better-qualified enquiries. Most GPhC-registered pharmacies are already listed from the public register.

Pricing FAQ

Common questions from pharmacy owners and superintendent pharmacists about listing and enquiry fees.

Is there really a free listing option?

Yes. Every GPhC-registered UK pharmacy can claim a free basic profile. Free listings appear in search with lower ranking than paid tiers. You can receive patient enquiries on a pay-per-lead basis without a monthly subscription.

How do I list my pharmacy on Pick My Pharmacy?

Claim your existing profile via the claim form, or email us to create one. We verify GPhC premises registration (and CQC for online prescribing services) before the listing goes live. Free listings activate after verification; paid tiers upgrade visibility and included enquiries.

What counts as a qualified enquiry?

An enquiry is a patient who completes our comparison flow, selects your pharmacy, and submits contact details with what they need — for example a private flu jab, a travel consultation, or switching their nominated pharmacy. We filter out incomplete submissions and duplicates before they reach you.

How much does it cost to advertise a pharmacy here?

Free listings cost nothing. Standard is £129 per month (£1,290 annually) with up to 8 included enquiries. Premium is £299 per month (£2,990 annually) with unlimited included enquiries. Pay-per-lead runs from £30 (everyday services on Premium) to £75 (weight-management on Free), aligned with UK pharmacy affiliate CPA norms such as MedExpress £40 flat. City sponsorship starts from £49 per month.

Can I cancel or change tier at any time?

Yes. There is no minimum contract. Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel monthly subscriptions at any time. Annual plans are paid upfront with a two-month discount and can be cancelled at renewal.

How do Standard included enquiries work?

Standard includes up to 8 qualified enquiries per calendar month. Additional enquiries in that month are charged at the Standard pay-per-lead rate for that service category (from £35 everyday to £55 weight management). Premium includes unlimited enquiries with no per-lead fee.

How do your pay-per-lead rates compare with pharmacy affiliate programmes?

UK online pharmacies typically pay affiliates a flat CPA of about £40 (MedExpress weight-loss referrals) to £45+ (other weight-loss CPA offers), or 8–16% revenue share. Our weight-management leads are priced from £45–£75 so they sit in that same band. Everyday clinical leads (flu jabs, emergency contraception, delivery) are lower at £30–£40 because lifetime value is lower than a multi-month weight-loss programme.

Do you verify pharmacies before listing?

Yes. We check the GPhC premises register (and CQC registration for online prescribing services), confirm the superintendent pharmacist, and verify the pharmacy serves UK patients before activating any listing. Unregistered sellers are never listed.

Does paying change our rating or match score?

No. Ratings and match scores are computed from published, verifiable data only — paid tiers buy visibility and lead volume, never score. Sponsored placement is always labelled.

Is this suitable for online (distance-selling) pharmacies?

Yes. Online pharmacies that are GPhC-registered (and CQC-registered for prescribing services in England) can list alongside community pharmacies. Patients comparing private treatments and NHS delivery often shortlist distance-selling providers.

How does Pick My Pharmacy compare to other directories?

Many UK directories charge £15–£60 per year for a basic citation with limited enquiry flow. Pick My Pharmacy is a comparison marketplace — patients actively shortlist pharmacies and request services, so our pricing reflects qualified enquiry value rather than a simple directory entry.

Do you run affiliate / referral partnerships with online pharmacies?

Yes, where programmes allow comparison sites. We disclose referral partners clearly, use rel="sponsored" on paid outbound links, and follow MHRA Blue Guide rules: affiliate creatives never advertise Prescription Only Medicines by name. Editorial treatment pages may discuss medicines for patient information; paid referral CTAs promote the pharmacy service only. MedExpress is an example programme (£40 CPA on approved weight-loss referrals).

Do prices include VAT?

No. All prices exclude VAT. VAT, where applicable, is added on your invoice.
