How do I check a listed pharmacy is GPhC-registered?

Open the profile, copy the premises number, search it on pharmacyregulation.org, and match the address before you send ID, start a consultation, or pay.

Great Britain community and internet pharmacies must be on that register. A missing number on a card is not proof the shop is unregistered — it means we have not mapped it yet. “Claimed” means the pharmacy verified the profile with us; unclaimed register imports are still listed.

Registration — every pharmacy in Great Britain must be registered with the GPhC; directory cards show a GPhC badge when we have the premises number, and profiles link to the official register.

Community or online — filter by type, or use “Distance selling” for internet pharmacies that deliver UK-wide (no walk-in counter).See Online Pharmacies.

NHS vs private — NHS badges mark pharmacies that dispense NHS prescriptions; “Private only” means no NHS contract. Same-name chains are distinguished by city and postcode on each card.

Near me — enter a UK postcode, or use your location, to sort by approximate distance (outcode centroids). Opening hours appear on a profile only when the pharmacy has claimed them, we copied them from that brand’s official store locator, or we have them from NHS data. Confirm before you visit — we never invent a timetable.

Claimed listings — a “Claimed” badge means an owner claim is recorded. It does not verify every clinical service or price. Register imports without that step are still listed; the pharmacy can claim free.

Private service prices shown are indicative — always confirm directly with the pharmacy.
